I understand Paris, London, NY, etc are under snow... That's a real Christmas atmosphere Vs. my 33°C during the day and 22°C at night!!! With such a heat, it is quite weird to see Christmas decorations all over the place!
Mendoza is a lovely city, with an extremely pleasant atmosphere, great restaurants and places to go out, and it is surrounded by its famous vineyards and the Andes. Even though I just loved roaming around the city, there is not much too see as due to repetitive hearthquakes (the strongest and most destructive in 1861) all colonial/ historical buildings have been destroyed; but it is still charming! Mendoza, like its wines, is just a place to take time and enjoy life... which I am getting very good at!!.
The Parque San Martin (designed by a French landscapist: Charles Thays who has done many other works throughout Argentina), a Central Park-like with some vegetation that reminded me of my dear 'Midi', and the Cerro de la Gloria, overlooking the city, are enchanting
and the 4 plazas around the main square (3 of them being dedicated to a country: Chile, Spain and Italy - guess which is which...) give it a very special character.
Elle a l'air bien jolie Mendoza. Delphine et moi on y est pas reussi a aller donc une destination a noter pour la prochaine foix. J'adore El Tango del Vino.
